Hey, Team,
Nice to meet you. I'm Lukas and I build solutions.
I discovered my passion for software development 10 years ago when I wrote my first 'Hello, World!' program in Python. From there, I continued exploring and tinkering with multiple tools, frameworks, languages, and technologies.
Currently, I'm looking for projects that would require 100% of my skills. Im looking for Python Software Development/Engineering or AI Automation roles. With my background experience in cybersec and secure code reviews, I'm confident in my ability to deliver Secure By Design & Reliable applications to the client. And this is why:
My accomplishments from the past 4 months:
- My proactive efforts were recognized by my current employer by delegating me tasks to refactor business-critical services.
- In 2 weeks, I built a production-grade Flask API server, with extensive test coverage (pytest), authentication, and DB integration that leverages ORM.
- In 2.5 weeks, I built an AI-powered solution for documenting legacy codebases, which consisted of 44 repositories (no docs, js, py, c#).
- Built custom AWS loggers & metrics collectors and refactored existing services. This reduced verbosity of log messages and CloudWatch/Datadog costs associated with storing/ingesting/analyzing.
- Successfully refactored multiple business-critical services from JavaScript to strongly-typed Python (async) for AWS Lambda deployment.
- Reliably refactored critical services in prod with no downtime, staging servers, or ability to run code locally for integration testing.
When engineering solutions I think in:
- Scalability & Maintainability
- Security
- Performance & Costs
When implementing solutions I:
- Follow Design Patterns & Best Practices of SSDLC
- Use Pydantic approach to type-safety
- Write clear docstrings and documentation
- Understand language limitations and optimization strategies
- Understand that my code is for humans and simplicity is key.
Current hobby project: An automated code scanner for security bugs. Use case: help ship faster and more confidently.
Looking forward,
Lukas
