My name is Alex Anyede, a male aged 47, from Uganda, with passion for construction works.
Having worked as a construction helper for over three years, I developed a deep appreciation for the industry and this background has instilled in me a genuine love for the construction industry. During my time as a construction helper, I gained practical experience, where I honed my skills in various aspects of construction works including; manual foundation excavation, cleaning and removing debris, load and unload construction materials, select tools, equipment, and material from storage and transport items to work site, help cut timbers, lumber and or paneling to specified dimension, and drill holes in timbers, measuring and assembling wood materials, Assist in framing, clean and prepare surfaces, deliver lumber, digging trenches, backfill holes and compacting earth to prepare for construction. This position, therefore, fits very well to the direction where I want to take my career.
Besides, I am used to doing any physical jobs, which require sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, carrying heavy loads, repetitive tasks, and hand-eye co-ordination.
One of my notable strength is my ability to adopt quickly to changing situations and work effectively in a team and I like to exists and work with people of diverse backgrounds. I am physically fit and accustomed to working long hours in demanding environments, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Similarly, I know how to mow lawns, trim [weeds bushes, shrubs and hedges], rake leaves and remove trash prior to mowing a designated area, emptying trash and recycling container.
Much as I am only familiar with few local construction tools/equipment, I can promptly acquaint myself with new ones that may be introduced in the course of my duties, because I am a quick learner.
