Quality Assurance/ Quality Control Officer(QA/QC)

Planning, coordination and monitoring the actual execution of all Quality works of the project.

I worked as a Quality Officer in the QA/QC department for 4 years before my contract ended. I would say that I have all it takes to get this role as far as experience is concerned. I got a huge working experience with such amazing projects with big architecture companies. During my last position as a Construction QA/QC Engineer I had to prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports and also inspection reports, laboratory testing reports, and non conformance reports. Daily inspection log report and as well. Planning, coordination and monitoring the actual execution of all Quality works of the project, site activities supervision, Monitoring of Structural work activities ,materials quality assessment, Preparation of inspection records & progress reports to company management. During my last company last 1.5 years i was involved as an Estimator Engineer/ Cost-Control Management during which time I performed duties such as: Preparation of construction work estimates on site, competitive and commercial proposals, calculation of labor, materials, costs; Active communication with material suppliers, service providers and subcontractors and other project team members; Cooperation with the project management team throughout the project implementation period. Management of the billing process as my company was involved as subcontractor in the project. Making a month to month Interim Payment Certificate (IPC) for the billing purposes.

The period I worked with Perit Hector Zammit I learned the whole process A to Z of PA applications {Draughting of drawings (Site Plan, Plans, Elevations ,Sections)} and the whole procedure of different types of applications like full summary, regulations, DNO applications, alterations, land registry, EPC form filling, schedule 8, bank form filling. With this Knowledge i am capable of doing any large and medium scale projects in Malta under minimum supervision.

At Camilleri Burlo Architects we work on a project basis. Each project was handled by us from start to finish. My work mainly consisted of designing and making 2D drawings, construction drawings, working drawings for site, 3D views during the project, including creating several options on design basis, creating different floor plans , elevations, sections, 3D views and site surveys as well. Creating new Furniture design and sometimes need to be part of different ongoing competitions with associates. I gained a lot of experience since I could participate in medium scale to big projects and also some architecture competitions. After working as an assistant I must say that they were pleased with my skills and abilities to handle multiple projects, being detail-oriented and my time management skills.

Technical Designer

I am working in a technical designer position at a structural space frame company, where we do steel and aluminium fabrication, installation, and design on site. I have to generate technical drawings in AutoCAD 3D and 2D, and because we have a steel manufacturing factory, we have to prepare production drawings in SOLIDWORKS software for components and assemblies on a daily basis for factory job cards. I'm working on the 2D and 3D aspects of the project, constructing metal structures out of IPE, UPN, HEA, and HEB beams, hollow sections, steel pipes, and flat bars. Creating tender documents, preparing the BOQ, and also quoting for commercial offers Additionally, assist the administrative department with delivery notes, invoices, project estimation calculations, and purchasing orders. Communication with customers and vendors for material selection. I occasionally need to travel to the job site to assist the foreman, welders, and installers in completing the task in accordance with the plan and the specification. Making daily reports of activity and also performing other tasks assigned by the manager or director. Task and Responsibilities: 1. Collaborating with designers, manufacturers, vendors, and clients to ensure that product specifications are viable. Analysing designs and determining required resources and project deadlines. 2. Implementing design changes and making contingency plans as necessary. Making factory drawings using Solid-works software. 3. Supervising technical drawings for factory manufacturing sites and reporting back to senior management. 4.Handling a range of admin duties. Establishing quality control standards. Ensuring all products are high-quality and that they conform to company standards and brand values. 5. Evaluating prototypes and inspecting finished products to ensure that they are free from defects. preparing quality control documents. 6. Helping factory worker for any design related concerns. SKILLS:- Architectural Design, 3D Modelling, 3D Rendering, AutoCAD 3D-2D, SOLIDWORKS 3D-2D for assembly drawings, Procurement, Purchase order, Invoicing, Delivery notes, site execution, Quality Control.
